Keeping Costs Down Is More Than Just a Marketing Slogan
Customer focus is a priority here at RLH, and one way we strive to help our customers is by working with our material suppliers and vendors to mitigate cost increases without sacrificing quality.
Rising costs not only affect the bottom line, they can also cause delays, reevaluations, scale backs and cancellations of projects. To help keep things on track and on budget, we constantly monitor and evaluate the cost of goods and services related to the manufacturing our products, both in-house and with our partner vendors and suppliers.
By staying on top of market trends, using predictive analysis, and making targeted bulk purchases, we strive to keep cost increases at a minimum, not just for RLH but to help our customers as well.
For example, we’re multi-sourcing to become more flexible with our manufacturing, and moving some processes closer to our factory to keep transportation costs down without sacrificing quality or impact delivery times. Thinking beyond our usual processes and manufacturing methods to actively battle price increases is a big part of how we operate on a daily basis.
Our prices are posted online, which makes it easy to put together project estimates and bids, so be sure to check our web site for the latest product information and pricing details.
In addition to our online resources, we also have knowledgeable account managers and engineers right here at our manufacturing facility in California to help at any time. Whether it’s special builds or custom configurations, volume purchasing, product support, or simple pre-purchase questions, we’re here to help.

Managed Gigabit Rack Mount Industrial Layer 2 Switch
The RLH Industrial Managed Ethernet Switch offers 4 Gigabit fiber ports (SFP slots), 8 Gigabit Combo ports (SFP slots or RJ45), and 16 Gigabit copper ports for a total of 28 ports.
This switch features a wide operating temperature with a fanless design, and the high SFP port count makes it a great switch for aggregating remote locations to one central location.
It has a web-based management interface and support for Static Routes, IEEE802.1Q VLANs, broadcast storm control, RSTP, and QOS, along with many other features. Requiring only 1RU of rack space, it comes complete with EIA19″ rack ears for rack mount applications, or it may be simply placed on any flat surface or shelf.
The SFP ports allow for fiber optic network extension over long distances, with fiber adding the benefit of immunity to RF noise while providing electrical isolation between devices. Our industrial switches robust features and construction meet the demands of a variety of applications and are an ideal solution for a wide range of utility and automation environments.
Key Features:
- -40°C to +75°C (-40°F to +167°F) wide operating temperature, no internal fans
- Up to 12 total SFP ports for fiber
- 4 Gigabit SFP ports
- 8 Gigabit SFP or RJ-45 combo ports
- 16 Gigabit RJ-45 ports
- Embedded web management
- Layer 2 features support Static Routing, VLANs, port trunking, port mirroring, and RSTP
- 19″ 1RU rack mount form factor, steel enclosure
- Built-in redundant AC or DC power inputs
- Low power consumption design
High Performance Optical Transceivers
RLH Industrial Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) Optical Transceivers are ideal companions to RLH Fiber Switches, such as the 8+16+4 Gigabit Ethernet Switch above, RLH Media Converters, or any application where high quality optical SFP Transceivers are required.
They are compatible with the Small Form Factor Pluggable Multi-Sourcing Agreement (MSA), and are available in 1.25Gbit and 155Mbit transmission speeds. A variety of transmission ranges are offered, from 300M to 100km depending on the model, so that the optical power can be matched to the fiber infrastructure utilized.
Available in single mode and multimode LC connector models, as well as single or dual fiber versions in the single mode styles, these industrial SFP transceivers have and extended operating temperature range for operation in harsh environments.
Common features:
- Hot-pluggable
- Hardened to operate in -40°F to +185°F (-40°C to +85°C)
- Single and dual fiber options available
- RoHS compliant
- SFF MSA (INF-8074i)
- Ideal for use with RLH Products
